Home loans or programs to help buy a home for military families?
We are moving to Fort Bliss, TX in El Paso, TX by the end of June of this year, and we are now looking into buying a house for the first time there for around $100,000, I already contacted a realtor there and he sent me many houses that are on sale around that price, also I don't think we're gonna have money for the down payment, but now we need to apply for a loan, are there any programs or specific banks to get home loans for military families? I heard about a VA loan but I don't know what it is or where to apply. Also I heard that the first time homw buyer credit was extended for April 2011 for the military, Can anybody help me out, we're first time home buyer and we're lost!!!

Any mortgage banker can do the VA loan as it is 100% financing but I have heard nothing about any tax credits even for the military being extended I am a mortgage banker in TN
You should take a look at It may not cover the whole thing you need but it is a great lender for those in the military. You have the funds within 24 hours after approval and it is very easy. Good luck.
